Bishop's Pumpkin Farm

My Mom, Tami, and I went to Bishop's a couple weeks ago. If you haven't been, it is the best pumpkin farm ever. There are so many different things to do and super yummy food. The corn dogs are my absolute favorite!

The very proud Turkey strutting his stuff at the pig races! He thought all the applause was for him!

Ever seen a flying pig?

Pigmy goats

Hammy Johnson was our pig!

I loved the "Naspig" outfits, they were great!
Sorry for the blurry pictures at the Pig races. We were kind of far away.

Concrete

First of all, I have no idea why my font is underlined, and I can't turn it off. If anyone could help, it would be appreciated.

Jeremy decided to pour a small pad of concrete of the side of the house where it juts in, so we can put our barbeque out and actually use it.

Pouring the left over concrete for stepping stones

Hand formed pad for under the hose. It was a little last minute!

The finished product! The stepping stones all cracked when we tried to take them out. : (

What is that smell?!

I thought the burglar alarm was bad, but that was nothing compared to the smoke detector!!! Wow! Jeremy turned on the heater for the first time this morning. You know that heater smell you get the first time you turn it on for the season? Well imagine how it smells when you turn it on for the first time ever. It was horrible, absolutely horrible! Jeremy and I smelled it, but were trying to ignore the smell as it was 7am and we were trying to sleep in a little longer. Then it happens, the piercing scream of the smoke detector. I mean PIERCING! It was the loudest, highest pitch thing I have ever heard! Jeremy turned it off as fast as he could, but it was awful. There is no way you ever would be able to sleep through that alarm! Anyways, we had to turn off the heater and wait until later in the day when it was warm enough to open the windows, turn the heater back on, and let the smell dissipate. Yucky!

Alarm Trouble

We had an alarm with monitoring installed about a week ago. It has been great! Jeremy is sleeping better because he feels safe. Since our community is still under construction, it is nice to know that even though a few days a week people see both of us leave, we are protected. So the alarm has been great overall until today. Jeremy always sets the alarm to stay when he leaves. I usually disarm it right before I leave, and then rearm it as I walk out the door. Well I went to take out the trash today and forgot to disarm it. As I'm walking back in the garage, I hear an alarm going off and think, "Hmm, someones car alarm is going off." Then I realize as I walk back in the garage, "Crap, that is my alarm!" So I run to the front door, disarm it, and call Jeremy to tell him what happened. As I'm trying to call, the alarm company calls to verify the alarm. Luckily I come up with the password, and verify who I am. What a dork I am, hopefully I have learned my lesson and won't do it again!

Living Room

We painted our "Formal" Living Room Fossil Stone which is a sage green color.

The room freshly painted.

Doing a little touch up work.

The finished result. We added curtains, crown molding, and left over furniture. The plaid loveseat has a matching couch that will eventually go in this room, but right now it is in the family room til the couch we ordered comes in. I am planning to get slip covers for the couches, I just haven't found any that I like and are the right size.

Just a little teaser!

We finally got out internet today, hooray!!! However, I am too tired to post a bunch of pics, so here is a close up of the project I did last weekend.

Tami and I did a leather look on the rotunda

Here is the big view of it. You can also see how we painted the walls "distant tan."
This is also the color all of the hallways and the family room. More to come soon!
