Gazebo Day 3

Here is the finished product!

I love the mosquito netting. You can use the netting to close the gazebo off when needed, and tie them back when not. I also love the lines of the Gazebo. They really match the lines of the house. It looks awesome when you drive by it on the street.

The Chandelier! It gives just enough light to be functional, but not so much that it hurts your eyes. Sorry for the bad picture.

Can you say blond?

I had a super blond moment today. I was in a rush getting ready for work this morning. I accomplished a lot of house work before I had to leave, but misjudged the amount of time I had left to get ready, so I was running behind. I still had plenty of time to get to work, but I always like to be 10 or 20 minutes early. I never know when I am going to have a problem getting on base, so I like to be super early. I got in the car and was about 3 minutes from my house when I realized I forgot to put on any makeup! You would have thought that when I brushed my teeth I would have noticed, but apparently I didn't look at myself. Anyways, I thought about turning the car around, but figured, the kids won't notice if I don't have makeup on, so whatever. Well, it is a good thing I didn't turn around because there was unexpected road work that took me 20 minutes to get through when it should have taken 2! I got to work with 5 minutes to spare, but what a stressful way to start my day!

Gazebo Day 1

Jeremy and I started assembling our Gazebo Monday night. Just the two of us, which was a bad idea. Flipping it right side up with weak little Me was quite a feat! We have had the Gazebo for over 2 months, but have had to wait to put it together until after the majority of the concrete was poured. Last night we went to our favorite Home Improvement Store (Lowe's) to get wood and a decorative piece to put as bases for the poles. Jeremy cut all the wood and stained it last night. Tonight we will hopefully finish assembling the Gazebo and put together the bases so I can post a finished pic. Then it will be 2 or 3 more small pours of concrete and will finally be done with the backyard! Well, almost done. We will have to get patio furniture, which may have to wait for the end of the season clearance sale.

It has been a while...

It's pretty sad when your Husband comments on how you haven't posted in a while! So here is a quick post. Jeremy and I went to Vegas last weekend to have a mini Vacay before I started my new job. It was a blast! We relaxed, when to an indoor trampoline place, enjoyed the awesome weather, and went riding to Red Rock.

We also went to Hanks, our favorite Restaurant in Henderson. It was just as good as last year. We got back Monday, and I didn't start training 'til Thursday, so I had time to clean my house, hang out with the neighbors, and go out to dinner with friends. I love my new job, but until we get enough kids enrolled in the program, I will be part time, ugh! Anyways, yesterday was my 3 year Anniversary with Close To My Heart. Hooray! Today I am making Father's Day cards using my favorite new Book from CTMH.

I've had this book for weeks, but I hadn't opened it until last night due to the hecticness of the last month. I absolutely LOVE this book! It has the cutest cards in it with awesome technique instructions. You can get your own copy here.

Now I am off to make cards and figure out gifts. Ciao!
