My new jacket

Jeremy bought his motorcycle back in May, and until tonight I still had not rode on it. What was keeping me from riding was the fact that I didn't have a jacket. I have been looking for a jacket for a few weeks, but every jacket I found was too big. Sunday I finally found a jacket that fit me really well and wasn't too pricey. Hooray! So tonight we went for a ride around Camp Far West. It was a lot of fun, and very pretty, but now I am extremely sore! Hopefully I will be able to walk tomorrow. I would have taken a picture of me in the jacket, but I have some serious helmet hair going on!

Back to work tomorrow : (
I have had a wonderful week (almost) off. Tomorrow it is back to the grind. I though I would share a little of the fun I had during my time off. It sure beat moving!
Thursday my MIL and I went with my parents to a matinee performance of Hairspray at Music Circus. It was wonderful!!! I personally think it was even better than the movie! Anyways, afterwards Tami and I went to Pei-Wei for dinner, shopping at Target, then grocery shopping. We finally got home around 9:15.
Friday I went to the State Fair with my Mom. We ate a bunch of crap. It was all yummy, but made us feel crappy afterward.
Saturday Jeremy's family was supposed to come to stay. We had a Mexican dinner planned for that evening. Guess who got called into work. Thats right, this girl! I was trying to sleep in when work called at 8:15. I prompty ignored the call and went back to bed. Well, they called back an hour later, so I finally got up and returned the call. Not only did they want me to work, but the person who called in was supposed to work 1:15 to 10:15!!! Yucky, definitely yucky! But me, being the awesome employee that I am said yes. So I worked. When I got home the family was there, so I stayed up until 2 am talking!
Sunday Jeremy had to help my brother Greg fix his truck so he could get back home to Vegas. We went to 2 auto parts stores trying to find a water pump. Then we went to Thai Palace in Sac, they have the BEST Thai food! Then it was back to Wheatland to fix the truck. Jeremy and Greg worked on that while I visited with family. They eventually finished and Greg went back to my parent's house so he could get a few hours sleep before he got back on the road. We stayed up late visiting once again, so I decided to sleep in on Monday morimg. When I woke up and went downstairs the truck was back! Apparently the clutch bit the dust. So Jeremy and Greg spent all monday replacing it and whatever else needed to be done. I went shopping with the ladies(not that I bought anything) and enjoyed a nap. The truck eventually was fixed and Greg made it home safely.
Today I enjoyed spending the day by myself. I did a bunch of laudry and caught up on the DVR. Maybe later I will scrapbook, if I can work up the energy! The rest of this week I have to work late, so I figured I better just relax.

Keys today, right?!
Wrong!!!! Due to the financing department screwing up, we had to change to a different loan last Thursday, seven days before we were supposed to close. We hoped that we still would be able to get the keys by Thursday or Friday. The ladies in the financing department told us that they would get the new loan documents to underwriting ASAP, and that Thursday or Friday was a great possibility. What a load of crap! They called yesterday, the day before we were supposed to get the keys, and said it would be as late as September 18th before we get the keys. Grrrrr!!!!!! Can you say disappointing?! I wanted to cry when I got the news. Three more weeks we will have to wait! I know in the grand scheme of things, three weeks is not a lot of time, but I had plans for September in the house. I was going to host an open house for Close To My Heart, but now I can't until at least October. This delay really messes with my business. Jeremy and I were going to take advantage of labor day sales on furniture and paint. Now we can't do that. Grumble, grumble, grumble.
So I am trying to look on the bright side. Waiting three more weeks means we can save more money, which means more furniture sooner. The longer we wait, the less construction there will be on our street. We will be able to paint our garage floor the day we get the keys instead of having to wait a week (they replaced 3 concrete panels last Wednesday, and it needs to cure at least 2 weeks before it can be painted.) I get to go to music circus tomorrow. If we had gotten the keys, I would be painting and unable to go see Hairspray. Now, I get to go with my parents and my MIL. But the best result of not getting the keys is that Jeremy and I got to spend the day together doing whatever we wanted. We went to breakfast this morning after we had our final walkthrough. I had the best omelet at Mimi's. Then we went furniture browsing. Not shopping, cause we can't make any big purchases until after escrow closes, but browsing. We went to RC Willey and finally found something we agreed on. When we left, there was a tent set up outside with my favorite energy drink!
The pink Go Girl is yummy, but Go Girl Glo is the best! 100.5 was giving them out for free, so Jeremy and I both snagged one. Jeremy actually drank his and liked it! It turned out to be a fun day even though it had a disappointing start. I hope the next three weeks fly by.

Pink,

Jonathan Brandis. I loved him when I was like 10. Then a few years ago he comitted suicide. What a shame.

I can't forget about our famous Pumpkin Farm! If you haven't had a chance to go, you should. It is awesome! It opens the last weekend of September.

LaReece, but I just searched Reece because LaReece came up with some interesting options. I wish I had Gabrielle Reece's body!

I tag Andrea! I think she is one of the few who hasn't done this yet!
