15 Months

Dear little boy,

Another month has passed so soon. It is hard to believe how fast the time is flying by. This last month brought a bunch of new words, at least one a week. Shoe was the first word, which you said to Daddy first. It was on a Sunday while Mama was at work. You brought your shoe over to Daddy and clear as day said, "Shoe." Your Daddy confirmed that it was a shoe, and you said "on" and signed please. What a proud day!

Next came "cracker?" which means "Can I have a cracker?" Then came "Ohhhh kay" and "uh-oh!" Mama is curious to see what your next new word will be.

You still love to talk on the phone. If there isn't a phone within arms reach, you will use your hand as a phone, and talk, talk, talk into it!

You finally have learned how to get off the couch safely. Instead of going head first, you will now turn around and put your feet down first. You use this new skill at the park on the slide. You like to slide down the slide on your belly, feet first, all by yourself! As much as you like to go down the slide, you love to climb up the slide even more. Always the dare-devil you are!

Enzo, you love to play outside, but the weather hasn't permitted much outside time lately, with all the rain. You wouldn't mind playing out in the cold and wet weather, but Mama minds!

Enzo, you are finally transitioning into 18 month clothes, are around 23lbs, and still wearing a size 4 diaper.. You have gotten so much taller, but I'm not sure of the exact height. You can reach almost everything you want, which means Mama and Daddy have to be more careful about putting things out if your reach!

I love you so much Enzo, and look forward to many more months with you!

Love,

Mama

14 Months

Dear Enzo,

Another month has gone by, and you are more fun each and every day! You are such a little daredevil, doing wheelies in your car, going head first off the coach, climbing onto everything in sight.
One of the cutest things you started to do this month is whisper. Mommy will whisper to you and you will whisper right back. We can hold whole conversations like this.

Another fun thing you mastered this month is walking on you tip toes. You could walk all over the house on those tippy toes, your feet are so strong! If you aren't running, you are sure to be walking on those toes.
You had a third molar come in this month, on the bottom right. It came in a lot quicker than the top two, which was nice. Your sleeping habits are back on track. You go to bed by 9pm and wake up anywhere from 8-9am. Hooray!

You are still mimicking like crazy. Any silly noise that Daddy can make, you throw right back. In fact, you love to follow Daddy around and make noises at him, so he will make them back to you.

You added the all done sign along with saying "all done." You love to call "Otis!", and "kitty!" You are still in size 4 diapers but are moving up to 12-18 month clothes.

I love you, my little boy!

Mama

13 months

Dear Enzo,

What an interesting month it has been. Your sleeping habits have been interrupted by not one, but two molars coming in. Ouch! You have been waking up earlier than usual, and crying. Since you are normally super happy when you wake up, I am going to blame those teeth and hope your good sleeping habits will return. You also have cut down on your naps. Most days you only take one 3 hour nap. Unless you wake up super early, or your nap gets cut short by a poopie diaper. Then you will take a second nap.

You are still wearing 12 month clothes, and size four diapers. You also wear a size 4 shoe. Mama writes these things in your letter so I won't forget. I haven't been too good about keeping up on your scrapbook, so as long as I write it down here, I will always have that info.

You have a few more words this month, like Otis, I like it, on and off. You also are learning more signs. You mastered more last month, but now we have added please and bath. We are working on milk and all done.

You are still a non-stop whirlwind. From the time you wake up you are on the go! You can climb super quick onto the sofa and love to run back and forth across it. You also like to climb in the window. You are a big flirt, always smiling at people in every store we go to. You love to go on the swings, and will still tolerate a long walk. You love to make faces and have them copied back. Your favorite is scrunching up your nose. Same with noises. Whenever someones coughs, smacks their lips, or make any type of funny sound, two seconds later you mimic that sound. Mama loves you so much and is so happy you are in my life!

Love,
Mama

1 year stats

weight: 21lbs 8.4oz(28th percentile)
height: 30in (54th percentile)
head: 18.74in (81st percentile)

Currently wearing 9-12 months clothes, and holding strong. Diapers, size 4. Enzo's Dr. appointment was rushed as they were running behind, but the Dr was perfectly happy with his stats. I was concerned that his weight percentile had dropped so much, but the Dr. just said he is a lean little boy. Enzo really disliked getting his 4 shots, but Daddy disliked it even more. Jeremy is one protective Pappa Bear! Enzo didn't have any reactions to his shots, but Mama came down with food poisoning right after getting home from the Dr., yuck!

12 months

Dear Enzo,

I cannot believe how fast this year has gone. You are no longer my baby, you are a little boy! When you were a newborn, it felt like time was standing still. Sleep deprivation did funny things to me, and I thought it would never end. I felt like I would never be able to function normally again, getting a shower felt like an accomplishment. Leaving the house before noon seemed impossible. But a year later, it is like a whole different world.

Luckily you started sleeping really well around six months. You are still a wonderful sleeper most of the time. 11 hours straight and I am loving every minute of it. You have the occasional night when you pee through your diaper or your teeth bug you enough to wake you up, but you go back to sleep as soon as you are changed or soothed. Now if only Mama could go back to sleep that easily!

Speaking of teeth, you now have eight of them! Four on top and four on the bottom. You aren't too fond of Mama brushing them, but it is a necessity. You absolutely hate for your nails to get trimmed, but you love your bath time! Every night when Daddy starts to run the water, you run to the gate and start yelling excitedly.

That is right, I said run! In the last month you went from walking occasionally to walking the majority of the time, and running when you are excited. Combine that with all the climbing you do and you are one active little boy! You love to talk, and although I can't understand most of what you say, there are a few words Daddy and I can make out. Mama, Daddy, kitty, I love you, hi, bye, baba.

You love to sing with Daddy and laugh and giggle. You still love to eat, and are done with bottles. Milk in a sippy cup all the way! You still take a binky when you sleep, but Mama doesn't give it to you any other time. I'm sure Daddy and Grandpa let you have it whenever you want, but Mama is one tough cookie!

You threw up for the first time this week. That was interesting. You didn't seem upset by it, just confused as to what happened. You had a little case of the stomach flu that lasted a few days, but thankfully cleared up before Christmas/your birthday. It didn't matter though, you weren't interested in presents anyways. You wanted to play with your cousins and loved the cake and ice cream!

Here is to many more years of watching you grow, my sweet little boy!

Love,

Mama
