Paxton 4 months

Dear Paxton,

You have changed so much this last month.  You are now a very happy and smiley baby. You will let most anyone hold you without a fuss. Unless you are tired or hungry, then you want your Mama.

You love to eat your fingers, which is a relief because you still don't take a pacifier.  But chewing on those fingers helps you to soothe for a minute or two.  You are also interested in food.  You really watch when people are eating and are starting to try and grab my plate.

You are one strong little boy.  You have rolled over from tummy to back and from back to tummy a handful of times, but it isn't your favorite thing to do.  You do however love to kick your legs! when giving you a bath you will kick, kick, kick your legs and push off the edge of the bath.

You don't mind tummy time as much anymore, especially if you are propped up.  You like to pull your feet up underneath you and try to scoot forward. You also constantly try to sit up by yourself.  You have some amazing ab muscles! If you are laying on your back with your head propped up, you try to throw yourself forward.

Your 4 month Dr. appt didn't go as well as your 2 month. You were pretty fussy after the shots.  But you made it through.  You weigh 14 lbs 6.8 oz(29th %,) 25.75 inches tall(74th%,) and your head is in the 96th %.  You are still wearing 0-3 month onsies, 3-6 month jammies and rompers, and are growing out of size 2 diapers! Slow down, baby!

Love,

Mama

30 months

 Dear Enzo,

Today you turned 30 months, or 2 1/2 years old.  Crazy!  As I always say, I cannot believe how fast the time has gone. You are such a big boy! You moved into a new room with a big boy car bed back in January, and you love it. The transition to the bed was so easy.  You were so excited to get in your bed that you would put yourself in time out, just so you could go to your room.

At the end of February, your baby brother Paxton arrived. You weren't too sure of him at first, but have grown to love him.  You are very protective of your baby brother. When you met him in the hospital for the first time, Paxton was taken to have a hearing test.  You had to follow the nurse who took him and kept telling her to "bring him back! Bring baby brother back, now!" It was the sweetest thing.

You love to give Paxton hugs and kisses. You also love to snuggle with him in the morning.  If I come to your room in the morning without Paxton, you always ask where he is. When I tell you that he is sleeping, you always want to go find him and give him kisses. You have enjoyed Mommy being off work and don't want me to go back.  I have enjoyed waking up and spending everyday with you, my little buddy!

Enzo, you love to be busy. The reason you don't have any clothes on in these photos is because you were busy soaking yourself while Paxton was getting his photos taken!

Your vocabulary is amazing! You speak in long sentences using huge words.  Whenever you meet someone new or see someone you haven't seen in a while, they are always impressed with how well you talk.  People tend to think you are older than your actual age due to your speech and how tall you are. Some of your favorite words and phrases that you say are, "yes!", "not yet!"(in a sing song voice,) "bless you!" (when someone sneezes) and "one in each hand!" (this is in response to me telling you, just one.) You also love to point out when something stinks.  When we drive by cows, the dump, or put diapers in your diaper trash, I always hear a, "Pee-ew! Cows/trash/diapers stinks!'

I also love how you use an "m" in the place of and "n" and vice versa. For example, you always tell me, "Mommy, I want some nilk please" when you want milk in the morning.  It cracks me up! You love to sing songs.  Some of your favorites come from Mother Goose at the library.  You could sing them all day long! You also love to sing ABC's, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Make New Friends, and more.

You know all you colors, can count to 20 with help, and can put your laundry away all by yourself! You can do anything you set your mind to! You go pee in the potty several times a day, but are scared to poop in the potty for some reason.  So for now, you are still in diapers.

I don't know your exact height and weight right now, but I estimate you weigh about 30 lbs. You are a tall boy, needing size 2t pants for the length, but the better have elastic in them, or they will fall off.  In shorts you can wear 24 months. Shirts you need a 2t, although you head is so big, they are starting to be hard to get on.  You are growing out of your size 6 shoes.  You wear size 5 diapers, but can still fit into a size 4 if needed. You are growing so fast! Mommy has to write all this info down because I forget it so quickly.

I love you little boy!

Love,

Mommy

3 month photo shoot

Chewing on his fingers as usual.

                                               I love his little tongue!

I love this face! It's the, "what the heck am I doing in a bucket?!" face.

Enzo had to get in on the action.  Paxton wasn't too sure about it.

My wonderful bestie took these photos in her studio.  They turned out wonderful! Paxton didn't want to cooperate as usual, and Enzo was busy destroying Andrea's house while she was shooting, but Andrea still managed to get some wonderful shots.

Three Months

 Dear Paxton,

Another month has gone by and the changes have been tremendous! You are such a smiley guy now.  You always reserve your best smiles for Mama, as I am your favorite! Daddy is a close second!

Mama is having a hard time going back to work.  You don't really take a bottle and would prefer to wait to eat til Mama gets home.  So Mama is going to wait a few more months to go back to work.  In the meantime I will enjoy my little boobie monster as I call you! I love the snuggles and milky smiles that you are always willing to give!

You still won't take a pacifier, but have discovered that you know how to work your hands!  So you enjoy sticking your whole fist in your mouth whenever possible. You will also grab blankets and shove them in your mouth!  You love to coo and babble.  You enjoy listening when Mama reads books to Enzo.

Your little legs are so strong! You love to have Mama stand you up and love to kick off the end of the bath tub during bath time. You still aren't a fan of tummy time, so you haven't rolled over yet.  But you are getting close! You are getting more patient.  If you wake up while Mama is taking a shower, many times I will find you laying on your back smiling and cooing at the fan. You are growing up, my little man!

You are now in size 2 diapers and starting to grow out of 0-3 month clothes.  You are around 13lbs as well.  Big Boy!

Until next month!

Love,

Mama

Two Months

 Dear Paxton,

Two months old, my baby boy! Each month is getting easier. You are starting to go a little longer between feedings which is making Mama's life a little easier. You also have started to sleep in your rock and play for a few hours each night before getting in bed with Mama.  Baby steps! You did have your first cold this month which was so sad! Your poor little nose was so stuffed up and you had a cough as well.  You did not enjoy the boogie sucker at all!

This month you are finally starting to smile! It is fun to see your personality starting to come out.  You look so much like your brother and are a happy little guy like Enzo. You are also strong like Enzo! You  can hold your head up with the best of them!  Tummy time is not your favorite thing, but you can push up off your belly with your arms and turn your head side to side.

You had a Dr. appointment the other day and had your first round of shots.  You took them like a champ! Of course you cried a little, but never had a reaction after.  You weighed 11lbs 2 oz(23rd %tile,) 23.5 inches long(71st %tile,) and 96th %tile for your head! So you are a long, slender boy with a big head, just like your brother! You are in all 0-3 month clothes now and growing out of your size one diapers!

Don't grow up too fast little one!

Love,

Mama

One Month

 Dear Paxton,

You are one month old now. Hooray! My how you have changed in that short amount of time.  You started out life wanting to be held all the time and hating to be cold.  You screamed every time your diaper was changed and liked to be fed every hour. You hated bath time as well.  You still want to be held a lot, don't like to be cold, and eat often, but are starting to go a little longer between feedings. You now love bath  time, kicking your feet while in the water.  You also don't mind having you diaper changed anymore.

You are starting to become more aware of the world around you.  Mommy is now able to put you in the swing for short amounts of time and you will observe your surroundings.  Your brother is very fond of you, but of course gets jealous at times.  I don't blame him, since Mama spends most of her time on the couch nursing you.  I would be jealous too! You aren't fond of a bottle or a pacifier, but we are working on it.

Paxton, you are a spoiled little one. Mama lets you sleep with her all night long! Enzo always slept in the bassinet, but you somehow have snuck into my bed. Mama gets more sleep that way and enjoys snuggling with you all night long.

You are growing out of newborn clothes and diapers. On to 0-3 months and size 1! At your 2 week appointment you were 7lbs 13.7oz(30th %tile,) with a 87th %tile head.  They didn't measure your length, but you have definitely grown! Mama looks forward to seeing what changes this next month will bring to you!

Love,

Mama
