Backyard in progress

Jeremy has been working on the backyard the last couple of weeks. He has put in a low retaining wall, built a patio out of stones, a deck, a frame for roses to climb on, and planted various flowers and trees.

Bart extended the step on the back patio.

The poor Redwood Tree. It had a rough time coming home from the store. We hope it perks up soon.

Weeping Japanese Maples, Potato Vines, and my red Daisies that you can't see.

Sorry for the bad pic. It looks great in person!

The Roses

My dwarf Lemon and Lime Trees that will have to wait to be planted til after the Gazebo is up.

Thanks to all those who have helped so far(Greg, Bart, Kelly, Tami, John, etc.) We still have quite a bit of work to do. Hopefully it will be done in a month or so.

concrete work

Jeremy and his Dad poured a path on the side of the house so it would be easier to get the garbage can out to the street. They did this over a month ago, but I finally uploaded the pictures today!

Jeremy put in new red bark to see if we like it enough to put in the backyard.

Bathroom finished!

It's not too much of a change, but at least it isn't white anymore!

Happy Easter!

Easter was a relaxing day. Jeremy and I slept in, then had brunch at our neighbors.
The boys cooked while Ashley and I got last minute items at the store. Starbucks was a must!

After brunch we went to Wheatland for Dinner with Bart & Tami and G&G Walden. It was a nice laid back day.

My vacation so far

I am thoroughly enjoying my week of Vacation. Jeremy and Ispent the weekend at Lake Shastina with our awesome neighbors and their Friends.

Our time was spent...

enjoying the beautiful view

playing endless games of Catan
(using our own made up super board)

and playing with one adorable child.

Then it was back home to play with our adorable Kittens.

This is how the Kittens spent their time while we were doing this...

painting our Master Bath. I have been touching up today. Finished pictures to follow. I only have three days left of my vacation. I think it will include lots of scrapbooking, and hopefully only a little cleaning. Visiting with friends is always a possibility. Anyone want to come play?

Grizzly Rapids

Greg and I after the water ride

The Parentals and Greg

Jocelyn saying goodbye to Greg. She said something to the effect of "Uncle Greg, you have to come to California when I come to visit because I will just miss you so much!" It was adorable.

Epic fail

I did a pay it forward post a week ago, and no one wanted to join in. Not a single person. I take it back, one very crude person did, which resulted in me deleting the comment and changing my comments settings. Anyways, no one that mattered wanted to join in. This makes me wonder. Does no one want to join in because they don't want a homemade gift from me? Or is it because no one wants to pay it forward. Or is it because everyone has already participated in this particular type of pay it forward? It must be the first reason because you have a year to pay it forward. Time should not be an issue holding you back. Also, I know not all of my blogger friends have participated in this already. You don't have to know me to play this game. You could be a complete stranger, or someone who I used to know who has happened upon my blog. I don't mind. It makes me sad to think no one wants to pay it forward.
