Woo Hoo!!!

My 4 day weekend officially starts at 6:30pm tonight. Now that I am back at Vic's full time* I didn't expect to get a long Holiday weekend! Boy was I surprised and delighted when I saw the schedule. Now I just have to figure out what to do this weekend, and get through the next 4 hours of work.
*Long story with the other job. Basically, promises were made, but not fulfilled. Am I disappointed, hurt, and lacking confidence, YES. But that is a whole other post that I may someday get around to sharing. Not anytime soon though.

Family Reunion

Saturday my family met at a park in Folsom to have the first ever reunion for my Grandpa Vic's side of the family. Not everyone was able to make it, but we had a good time visiting despite the heat. Grandma left before the pictures because the heat was making her tired.

Aunts, Uncles, and cousins and Grandpa.

Me and my Parents. I was the only Adair child able to make it. Jeremy was home sick.

The "cousins." Our Parents are cousins which make us? We will just say cousins. 3 of the kids are my actual cousins, but the other 4 are "cousins."

Generous Jenn

I have been meaning to post about this apron since the day I received it. However, I could never coordinate a time to have a picture taken while I was wearing the apron. When I looked presentable enough to have my picture taken, Jeremy could not be found. When he was around to take the picture, I was not looking so hot. Anyways, so here it is. It is a terrible picture of a beautiful apron that fits me perfectly. I wish I had one of every color of the rainbow! Jennifer made the apron for me for a craft it forward. Thank you!!!

Interested in one? You can find her here.

One of my wonderful fellow CTMH consultants who can be found here, made me this wonderful mini accordion album for a craft it forward. She so generously sent it to me after reading my post about how I was sad I was that no one wanted to participate in my pay it forward (I wish I could remember how to link a past post.) I have been meaning to post these pictures of my wonderful gift for quite a while, but I have been very bad at posting lately(Let me just say that life has been an unexpected roller coaster ride the past few weeks.) Thank you Mere! I appreciate your thoughtfulness!!!

Hibiscus

We are a little obsessed with Hibiscus plants. We have at a least 6 different Hibiscus plants between the front and back yards. I wish I have pictures of all of them.

Our latest project

Since we spend so much time with our neighbors, we decided to put a gate in the fence between our houses.

We also poured a concrete path using a decorative mold.

We tinted the concrete a light charcoal color to compliment our retaining wall(not pictured, sorry.) We filled it in with small river pebbles to complete the look.

Silly Otis!

When is he going to realize that he has gotten too big for his favorite spot?
