Another wedding

Jeremy was in a wedding this weekend. His childhood friend Mike (who was a groomsman in our wedding) married Kaylea on Saturday. Our nephew Jasen was the ring bearer. Everyone on Jeremy's side of the family was invited. Mike considers Jeremy 's parents to be his second parents. So here are a few pics.

This is Jasen. The poor kid had a bad cold, so he had a lot of sudafed in him. He was very well behaved!

Jeremy and his "date", the bride's sister. He was a very good sport!

The bride and groom, Kaylea and Mike. They looked great!

Jeremy's Birthday

Jeremy turned 27 on Sunday. Wow is he old, J/K!!! We had a fun weekend celebrating. We went to Chinese food twice, went to a Portuguese festival, and spent time with friends and family. When you get that old, you have to cheat when blowing out your candles!

Marriage Tag

This is all about my married relationship with Jeremy.

What is his name? Jeremy Ray Johnson

How long have you been married? It will be 2 years on May 27th.

How long did you date? 4 1/2 years before we were engaged, and we finally married at 5 1/2 years! We wanted Jeremy to graduate from college before we got married. He finished in December and I wanted a spring wedding, so we waited until May. I finished college, and a week later, we were married. It seemed like such a long time to wait when we were dating, but now I am really grateful we waited. I would have never gotten my degree if we had married any earlier.

How old is he? He just turned 27 on Sunday.

Who eats more? He does. I eat like a bird, unless it is Taco Bell.

Who said I love you first? He did. I wanted to say it, but I wouldn't until he did first.

Who is taller? He is, just barely. By like two inches.

Who sings better? Mmmm, its hard to say, we both sing well. Jeremy sings out loud more. I used to want voice lessons when I was younger, but took dance instead.

Who is smarter? Jeremy would say he is, but I'm no dummy either. I'm just lazy. :)

Who's temper is worse? His! He doesn't lose his cool very often, but when he does, look out! Although, I do have a lot of "tantrums" as Jeremy would say.

Who does the laundry? Me. He will occasionally if he really needs something, but I do the majority.

Who does the dishes? Me. I don't trust Jeremy to do the dishes. He will wash a load with only 3 items in the dishwasher. It drives me nuts!

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Me. That is just how it has always been. Jeremy will try to sleep on my side, and I hate it!

Who does the cooking? I do the majority, unless we have people over. He bbqs if we have guests, and I do the side dishes.

Who drives when you are in the car together? Lately Jeremy has, which I prefer. I hate driving.

Who is more stubborn? We both are. We are so stubborn, that we fight over who is more stubborn.

Who proposed? He did on a trip to Vegas. He wanted to do it on a gondola ride at The Venetian, but we got there too late. So he did it at my brother's house. It was just the two of us and I was totally surprised.

Who is most likely to admit when they are wrong? Neither one of us, because we are both soooo stubborn.

Who's parents do you see the most? I see my parents five days a week because I work with them, but when we are together, we see his more. We usually go to his parents house once a week. If we don't, they usually call us and ask when we are coming next. They love us!

Who pays the Bills? He does, which is really weird since I payed my bills for so long before we got married. Now I don't even now most of our logins.

Who wears the pants in your family? He does, and boy does he remind me! I just asked him who does, and he said, "Not you!"

I tag whoever wants to do this!

Wedding Slideshow

I finally figured out how to do a slideshow!

Pictures of the model

Be prepared, there are a lot of pics! I went a little overboard. They are a little out of order. Sorry!

This is a pic of the master bedroom. We won't be painting ours this color, but we will be putting our bed here.

Master bath toilet

What our stove top will look like. 5 burner!

Our cabinet color, Cocoa colored beechwood.

Granite counter tops come standard! Ours will be similar to the black piece on the left.

Our kitchen nook, were our table will go. We also have a formal dining room, but will most likely be putting a pool table in it - someday! We won't have the built in desk area, too pricey and we will be using one of the bedrooms for an office, so we didn't see the need.

A view of the hall with the "rotunda".

One of the middle bedrooms. Pretty nice size. The one next to it is identical in size, just flipped.

The bathroom that separates the 2 middle bedrooms. Ours will have cultured marble instead of tile on the sink and the tub. The floor will have tile, and the cabinets will be the cocoa color beech, just like the rest of the house.

Our master bath! The tile will be different, larger will a more natural look. I love the tub! We added a really cool accent tile that will tie in with the cabinets. And I love the 2 separate vanities (one is by the tub). No more getting yelled at for having "my stuff" on "his side!"

The formal dining room, which will be facing the sound wall. We will have to plant flowers!

The kitchen!!! This looks completely different than ours will, remember granite, and darker cabinets. Our appliances will all be stainless. We love the island with the sink, all the room, and the breakfast bar.

The look into the nook and breakfast area.

The fridge and what not.

And the family room! There will be carpet in the family room, but 18 inch tile most everywhere else. We love the size of the room. It has a fireplace and a media opening.

I don't have a pic of the formal living room, or the guest suite because the model has the optional den instead. But trust me, they are awesome!

One weeks progress

So after one week, it looks like they will be ready to pour concrete on monday!

This is the view from the edge of our lot. We have a walkway next to us, which we like. It means that we will only have one neighbor right next to us.

This is the view from the walkway.

Starting construction, finally!

They are going to start building our house next week. Hooray! I'm doing a happy dance. Only 18 weeks to go (hopefully)!
